My favourite song of this group is Meet me halfway. The first time I’ve listened to this song was when I was 12 years old, more or less, and I remember that it got stuck in my head all day for many weeks. It just sounds extremely perfect, soft and melodic to my ears. I like it because the rhythm doesn’t go too fast or too slow, which means you can listen to it in every kind of situation, whether you are excited, happy or even when you are down in the dumps.

I remember my mom singing this song in her room very elated and that gives me a beautiful memory. Talking about the lyrics, I wouldn’t say it’s a sad song. I think it’s more melancholic than sad. Basically, the song deals about love, specifically about compromising in a relationship. The lyrics can be interpreted in many ways, but the general idea is that the girl is willing to be compromised in the relationship, and on the other hand, there is a guy who is realizing how much he misses her and what he could lose if he chooses to be stubborn and lazy. I think this represents a fairly common situation where the girl is willing to give, but the guy has to do his part too and put on some effort. I think that’s why in the lyrics, the girl says to meet her halfway, at the borderland, where she will be waiting for him. Being in a relationship is not good if there is a lack of balance between the two people. It’s a beautiful song where they express the feeling of trusting and hoping that person will come.
